EXPLORER
Explorer Cold Brew is a coffee company in Brooklyn, NY. They make customizable coffee concentrates for customers who want to enjoy cafe-quality drinks at home. They asked for a new content layout and look & feel for their homepage, product detail page, product listing page, and cart. Their primary goal was to increase purchase conversions and subscriptions with a website redesign.

WEB DESIGN
I created original wireframe and mockup designs for Explorer. They wanted to refresh their look from an old template that they customized with a previous designer, to something that felt more open, targeted, and simplified.
This project consisted of a homepage, product listing page, product detail page, and cart redesign.
I was inspired by the liquid element of their product, and added waves to their primary section blocks for some additional interest and movement. For their homepage, I broke down their primary content sections by priority and presented a simplified design that focused on product and supporting product information.

SHOPIFY DEVELOPMENT
Explorer had an existing theme from a previous developer, but they wanted a custom design, so we created a sandbox in order to develop a new theme while their existing site remained available for customers online.
We started with a theme that closely resembled our mockup, and customized it to meet the client’s requirements. Our client wanted all redesigned pages to be completely editable, so we implemented editing capabilities through the frontend editor to give the client full control.
Once development was complete, tested, and approved by our client, we migrated it over to the live site and worked as a team with Explorer to go live.
RECHARGE SUBSCRIPTIONS
Explorer had an existing relationship with ReCharge subscription app, so our goals were to redesign the subscription experience on the Product Detail Page (PDP) and add the subscription widget to a custom quick shop modal on the homepage.
We completely redesigned and customized the look and feel of the subscription details on the PDP in order to increase subscription conversion. I designed a gray detail to the subscription option to increase visibility, matched the overall design of the elements on the page for clearer content hierarchy, and made the price change dynamically depending on your selection while displaying the original price to convey the savings value.
Custom Iconography
Explorer didn’t have any icons before this project started, and they really wanted flexible designs that could translate easily to potential redesigns in the future, packaging, and web. We worked together to come up with 12-15 top features to highlight with icons, and then the design process began.
The design process consisted of icon research for each feature, 2-3 selections for each feature, narrowing down sketches with the client, initial drafts, client approvals, final drafts, and final client approvals. The final result was a versatile, vector-based selection of icons for Explorer to use in a variety of applications.
